The film goes like this…Anushka Sharma (Shruti) is no-nonsense kinda girl from a middle class Delhi household, who is well determined and focused towards her goal in life. A chance or one can say fate let her to met Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), who on the other hand, has no real aim in life.
Band Baaja BaaratAfter meeting they become business partners in their very own, “Wedding planning ka bijness”. Along with Bittoo, she works hard towards the success of their business. The movie revolves around the ups and downs of their relationships and business during the lavish Delhi weddings.
Movie Review:
Band Baaja Baraat is a romantic comedy set around the world of wedding planning. Actress Anushka Sharma has referred to the film as a “coming of age story” and “very much a young love story set in Delhi”. Mumbai native Ranveer Singh is a complete newcomer in the movie who is in the lead role opposite Anushka.
Reportedly, lead actors Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma got along well during the shoot, and are strongly believed to have dated and broken up before the film’s release.
The music of the film is one of the best works of Salim-Sulaiman along with lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya. The songs of the film are much more than just a regular fun album. The best song is “Ainvayi Ainvayi” as it incorporates Punjabi flavors along with wedding party vibes.
Prior to its release, Band Baaja Baraat was predicted as an unsuccessful film by some pundits, citing the middling response to Yash Raj Films’ last few productions. Even the newcomer in the lead role was also given reason for its failure. Lets wait and watch what is in fate for ‘Band Baaja Baraat’.
