Blagojevich Letterman video/transcript Blagojevich on Letterman

blago letterman, blagojevich letterman video, blagojevich letterman transcriptRod Blagojevich, the disgraced Illinois governor, made his case on Letterman last night as part of his "media blitz". Still claiming innocence after all the evidence leveled against him, he found no ally in David Letterman who was obviously skeptical of the ousted governor. Right from the start, Letterman kept slamming Blago with one-liners and jokes referring to his case. "I've been wanting to be on your show in the worst way for the longest time," Blagojevich told Letterman at the start of their informal interview. To which the witty host replied, "Well, you're on in the worst way, believe me." How's that for an opening slam. Still, Blago took it all in, smiling and laughing though his host was

ridiculing him. He was a good sport. But then again, did he have a choice? He he. Watch the full Blagojevich Letterman interview videos below. You will also find the transcript of Blagojevich on Letterman at the bottom of this page.

Milorad "Rod" R. Blagojevich guests on Letterman (video)

Blagojevich Letterman transcript (excerpt)

Letterman: “I was looking down the records here. Otto Kerner, Democrat, governor of the state of Illinois, convicted on 17 counts of bribery, conspiracy, perjury and charges related to accepting bribes. Daniel Walker, Democrat – he was convicted in 1987 of improprieties related to the First American Savings & Loan Association bank, sentenced to seven years, governor. Governor George Ryan, currently serving a six and a half year prison term at a medium security prison and is scheduled to be out – he’ll be out and walking around 2013 (audience, Rod laugh) “Now, I mean, is this just part of the oath of office that you guys take?” (audience and Rod laugh, applauds) “I mean, what – how is this possible? What is that?” (audience laughs, applauds)

Rod: “Well, when you read it that way, it’s obviously a dangerous thing and had I known that when I ran the first time, I wouldn’t have run. I’d have stayed as a congressman. But I’d like your listeners to know and everybody in Illinois and anyone else who’s listening that unlike those, I’ll be vindicated.” (some audience laughter) “I did nothing wrong.” (audience laughter) “I did nothing wrong. And I’ll have an opportunity to be able to go in a court to prove that I did nothing wrong.”

Letterman: “Now, here’s my impression, and I’m not a pundit or an expert, but I saw you – I saw you on ‘The View,’ I saw you on the Rachel Maddow Show, I saw you on the Today Show, I saw you, I think, every other show that is in production currently,” (audience laughs) “and the more you talked and the more you repeated your innocence, the more I said to myself, ‘Oh, this guy is guilty.’” (audience, Rod laugh; audience applauds) “Now, are you – my point is in having such a high profile during this, you run that risk. Now, I’m not saying I’m everybody, but I had that impression.”

Rod: “Well, I can appreciate your position but consider a circumstance that might involve your life. Let’s say hypothetically there was another guy who had a talk show on another station from in Burbank, let’s say he came from New Jersey. And let’s say, let’s say he said you weren’t funny and he had 20 reasons why your Top Ten List sucks, would you want him just to get away with that or would you want to be able to say it simply isn’t true? And I can just tell you that it’s a very difficult thing that I’ve gone through, unimaginable, unexpected, unanticipated and I assert my innocence because it is the truth. And the alternative is to sit in some corner, hide, cower in the fetal position and assume – and accept what people are saying that you did and you didn’t do it and I didn’t do it, and at the appropriate time, I’ll have a chance to prove that.”

Letterman: “Right, so why not wait for the appropriate time?” (audience laughs, applauds)

Rod: “Well, I get that, yep. I appreciate that. No, I appreciate that. But, again, walk a mile in my shoes – let’s say people were saying all those nasty things about you and your lawyers are telling you’ve got to wait for your court date. At the same time, you’ve got two little girls – I have a 12 year old and a 5 year old. And they’re hearing things about their dad that aren’t true. It’s very, very difficult to simply sit there and accept the things they’re saying about you, taking things out of context and twisting it and to not say, ‘It isn’t true and I’ll prove it’s not true,’ and I had a chance at my impeachment trial last week in Illinois to bring witnesses, everybody involved in this who I talked to about the senate seat, I wanted them to come in and under testimony, sworn, tell the truth. I wanted every one of those wiretap conversations heard, not two or three, but every one of them. I wanted the whole truth out, and if they would have allowed me that, I could have begun the process of vindicating myself sooner.”

Letterman: “And why was that not allowed at the impeachment?”

Rod: “It was a political dynamic – there was a decision made to remove me. There’s a lot of reasons, and among them is – and I say this to the people of Illinois – I believe my fellow Democrats are going to raise the income tax. That was one of the reasons to get me out. Obviously, this is a political problem for the Democratic party. And, then of course, the other party sees this as an opportunity to embarrass our party. So there were a lot of dynamics that converged, and as a result, I was denied the right to bring in witnesses to prove my innocence.”

Letterman: “Now, when you say the Top Ten List isn’t funny?” (audience laughs)

Rod: “No, I didn’t say that. I didn’t say that. I said, ‘Assume someone accused you.’

Letterman: “Okay, all right.”

Rod: “No, I think they’re very funny. I can give you 20 reasons why I believe that.” (audience laughs, applauds)

Letterman: “But now, and again, you’re dealing with a man who’s largely ignorant of these matters, but I was under the impression that the reason you were not able to appropriately defend yourself during the impeachment was because of the scheduled criminal trial that will take place in the spring, and therefore, without that on the docket, you would have been able to defend yourself I so assume with witnesses and whatever means at your disposal but because you will now face criminal charges, they would not allow witnesses in the impeachment. Is that roughly what happened?”

Rod: “That’s roughly what it is. They were alleging criminal activity that they were not required to prove up, they denied me the right to disprove it, and this is America where you have the right to confront witnesses and address false accusations, and my position was since you’re not going to do it, because the prosecutor has his agenda and that’s understandable, then take that off the impeachment and let’s move on and wait for the court case, and give me the same presumption of innocence that you enjoy, that Paul enjoys, and that all of your guests enjoy – the presumption of innocence and the right to confront accusers who are falsely saying things that you didn’t do.”

Letterman: “Right now, other people will say, ‘Well, what he’s doing now, he’s working on the jury pool for the spring trial. He’s trying to plead his case, trying to prejudice a group of people so that it will be difficult to get an impartial jury for that trial. Anything?” (audience laughs)

Rod: “No, um – your audience obviously likes you, everything you say, they laugh at. And that wasn’t all that funny, with all due respect.” (Rod, audience laughs)

Letterman: (looks at camera) “What? (audience laughs)

Rod: “The trial is probably going to be a year from now, it’s not anywhere near imminent, so what I’m doing here is I’m just doing the best I can to clear my name. I have daughters who have a right to know that their dad didn’t do some of the things they’re saying I did and I’m appealing to the American people to just give me the basic fairness that they would expect for themselves.

Letterman: “Now, let’s just say – I’ve heard a lot of these excerpts, these tapes and we have a little bit of audio tape here, and I think it’s you on the phone talking to your brother who is Rob, is that correct?”

Rod: “Right.”

Letterman: “Right, you’re Rod, he’s Rob, and you’re talking about a guy name Johnny Johnston who’s a race track operator in Chicago and apparently there’s some favor to be done, some money to exchange for a favor that he might want you – does that ring a bell with you?”

Rod: “Well, I mean, I can’t talk about the details but – because that would be inappropriate based on the case, but when all of those tapes are heard – and again, I wanted those heard last week in the impeachment trial, all of them. I’m the anti-Nixon. See, during Watergate, Nixon didn’t want any of his tapes heard because he had something to hide. Me, I want the full context heard so people understand what this was about. I had conversation with US Senators, with congressmen; I had conversations with all of the different people alleged in that criminal complaint. Let all of them testify under oath about the truth.”

new trailer: Terminator Salvation / Terminator 4 (T4) coming soon!

The film's release is more than three months away but Terminator 4 (T4), now known as Terminator Salvation, is already generating a constant amount of buzz online. For one, it is both a highly anticipated sequel to the Terminator franchise of Arnold Schwarzenegger and a prequel to the series of Terminator films that will follow. Entertainment Weekly reported that the producers have already signed on for two more Terminator installments. Lately, interest for the film has surged because of the controversy generated by its lead actor. Christian Bale's tirade during the shoot when director of photography Shane Hurlbut accidentally walked onto the set is currently headlining the web. While the

Christian Bale freak out / tirade happened some months ago on the set and was already reported then, the release (leak) of its audio clip recently renewed public interest on the incident and the film.

In Terminator 4 (T4)/Terminator Salvation, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as the grown-up John Connor, the man destined to lead the human resistance against Skynet. In the beginning, John Connor does not start off as leader of the resistance, but he will work his way up through the ranks as the movie progresses. Along the way, he will gradually gain the confidence of his fellow fighters who at first mistrusted him due to his extensive knowledge of Skynet.

Terminator Salvation will be released in the United Stated on May 22, 2009 in conventional theaters as well as in IMAX, and it could be rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America, unlike the previous R-rated films Terminator predecessors. A video game of the same name will coincide with the release of the movie. The game will be a third-person shooter.

The sci-fi blockbuster stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Helena Bonham Carter.

Terminator: Salvation Synopsis

Ricky Gervais letter to Obama / Gervais: save us from Paris Hilton!

ricky gervais letter, ricky gervais obama, gervais letter obama, ricky gervais paris hiltonRicky Gervais, British comedian and one of the minds behind the comedy hit "The Office", has written an open letter to Barack Obama, detailing his fears for an "American invasion" in Britain and desperately asking the new United States President for help. He fears that this American invasion will seriously affect his country's future and should be stopped at all costs. Saying that British Prime Minister Gordon Brown knows nothing about this appeal, he has also suggested a covert operation to thwart the invasion and/or neutralize its effects - by way of an exchange.

Is this a serious threat to world peace? Definitely not! It's a hilarious joke that Ricky Gervais concocted when he heard that Paris Hilton is not only shooting a series in London but has actually bought a property there - meaning she plans to live in the United Kingdom. What's more, according to Gervais, the house Paris bought is only a few miles from his, thus his fears. He he. He wonders if this "invasion' is a retaliation for Posh Spice's (Victoria Beckham) move to Los Angeles!

He proposes a swap: luring both to New York for where a giant paparazzi nest has been found. Once there, the two would be tricked into riding the wrong limos and sent home! Read the Ricky Gervais letter to Obama below. You'll find it absolutely hilarious. (Photo source: Caroline Bonarde Ucci / Flickr)

Ricky Gervais Letter to President Barack Obama

Dear Mr President,

Firstly, congratulations on your historic win. I have never been so behind a candidate for what must be considered the boss of the world.

You seem to be a man of grace and integrity, who would never shirk responsibility in any way.

I'll get to the point.

As I'm sure you are aware, one of your flock has strayed. A Miss Paris Hilton, who is, I believe, a resident of Beverley Hills, is in England doing a reality game show for ITV2 called Paris Hilton's British Best Friend. Fine. I have no problem with that. I don't have to watch. But now it has come to my attention that she has bought a house in North London a few miles from me, and is out and about ingratiating herself with the Great British public.

Mr President. We are not stupid. This is clearly a retaliatory strike for Posh Spice moving to LA. I know it, and you know it, so let's cut the "it's a free country" nonsense and come to some agreement.

I propose an exchange. This is how it would work. We call them both and tell them that we've found a giant "paparazzi nest", in New York say. (half way home for both of them already)

At first they may be confused that they'd never heard of such a thing before, but the thought of that many photographers in one place will be irresistible.

Once we get them there, while they are having their photos taken (we will have hire a few guys with cameras to make it look good) we will swap their limos around. It's fool proof.

This is a covert operation of which Mr Gordon Brown knows nothing. (I've got him working on finding a synthetic fur for The Queen's guards' bearskin hats.)

Have your people call my people. They may have to call a few times as my people are useless to be honest.

Thank you,

Ricky Gervais

Christian Bale tirade audio: Christian Bale freak out text / transcript

Looking for the infamous Christian Bale tirade / Christian Bale freak out audio? We've got it right here, plus an excerpt of the transcript as well. This has been hot item on the web these past few hours after the audio was released / leaked to the public. Although we've heard about it before (when the incident happened a few months ago), the public didn't have an idea how bad it really was until this audio clip was released recently.

The incident happened on the set of "Terminator: Salvation". Apparently having a bad day after shooting scene after scene of the upcoming movie, Christian Bale completely lost it when the movie's

director of photography, Shane Hurlbut, ruined a scene after he accidentally walked onto the set. As you will hear from the audio clip, Christian Bale's brutal tirade was laced with expletives, sounding like a man out of control. I've had a few encounters with guys who have lost their tempers but this one is different. I can just imagine the tension it caused on the movie set.

You will hear Hurlbut apologizing the Bale a few times but this seemed to spur the actor to freak out and lose control even more. This reminds me of the family controversy Bale was involved in a few months ago. Does this screaming incident make you feel any differently about allegations of abuse against Christian Bale by his mother and sister last year? Hmm.

Christian Bale, most remembered for playing Batman in The Dark Knight, went on an F-word tirade that included threatening to kick his 'f--kin' ass', screaming and threatening to quit the movie if the bosses didn't fire the Hurlbut. The audio was apparently sent to the film's insurance company late last year in case Christian Bale quit.

Christian Bale tirade text / Christian Bale freak out transcript

Bale: Kick your f--king ass!
Hurlbut: Christian, Christian ...
Bale: I want you off the f--king set you prick!
Hurlbut: Christian, I'm sorry.
Bale: No, don't just be sorry, think for one f--king second. What the f--k are you doing? Are you professional or not?
Hurlbut: Yes I am.
Bale: Do I f--king walk around and ...
Bruce Franklin: Christian, Christian ...
Bale: No, shut the f--k up Bruce! Don't shut me up!
Franklin: I'm not shutting you up.
Bale: Am I going to walk around and rip your f--king lights down, in the middle of a scene? Then why the f--k are you walking right through like this in the background. What the f--k is it with you? What don't you f--king understand? You got any f--king idea about, hey, it's f--king distracting having somebody walking up behind Bryce in the middle of the f--king scene? Give me a f--king answer! What don't you get about it?
Hurlbut: I was looking at the light.
Bale: Oh, good for you, and how was it? I hope it was f--king good, because it's useless now, isn't it? F--k-sake man, you're amateur.

Bale: McG, you got f--king something to say to this prick?
McG: I didn't see it happen.
Bale: Well, somebody should be f--king watching and keeping an eye on him.
McG: Fair enough.
Bale: It's the second time that he doesn't give a f--k about what is going on in front of the camera. I'm trying to f--king do a scene here, and I am going 'Why the f--k is Shane walking in there? What is he doing there?' Do you understand my mind is not in the scene if you're doing that?
Hurlbut: I absolutely apologize. I'm sorry, I did not mean anything by it.

Bale: Stay off the f--king set man. For f--k-sake. Alright, let's go again.
McG: Let's just take a minute.
Bale: Let's not take a f--king minute, let's go again. You're unbelievable, you're un-f--king-believable. Number of times you're strolling and f--king around in the background. I've never had a DP behave like this. You don't f--king understand what it's like working with actors, that's what that is. That's what that is man, I'm telling you. I'm not asking, I'm telling you. You wouldn't have done that otherwise.
Hurlbut: No, what it is, is looking at the light and making sure, that you are ...
Bale: I'm going to f--king kick your f--king ass if you don't shut for a second! Alright?
Bale: You do it one more f--king time and I ain't walking on this set if you're still hired. I'm f--king serious. You're a nice guy. You're a nice guy, but that don't f--king cut it when you're bullshitting and f--king around like this on set. I ain't the one walking. Let's get Tom and put this back on and let's go again. Seriously man, you and me, we're f--king done professionally. F--king ass.

Dragonball Evolution trailer: new Dragonball Evolution video out!

A new version of the Dragonball Evolution trailer / Dragonball Evolution preview video has been released. This time, it the French's turn to come out with their own version. The Fox France Dragonball Evolution French trailer was initially dismissed as just a a condensed version of the earlier trailer released - the international Dragonball Evolution trailer and the Japanese version. Miley Cyrus slant eye pic / Miley Cyrus Asian racist photo scandal

Miley Cyrus in a slant eye, racism photo controversy? Miley Cyrus involved in Asian slant eye racist pic scandal? It sure looks like it as an Asian-American group (OCA) is up in arms against what they call "poking fun of Asians" by the teen idol and her friends. The uproar stemmed from a picture on the web showing Miley Cyrus, otherwise known as Hannah Montana, and her friends (including rumored boyfriend Justin Gaston) pulling their eyes back to look like Asians.

The OCA (Organization of Chinese Americans) in a statement to TMZ said they it is "fuming at this photo of Miley and pals for using what they have

deemed an offensive, stereotypical gesture." As such, they are demanding a public apology from Miley Cyrus. OCA executive director George Wu adds:

Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimized the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans.

We hope that Miley Cyrus will apologise to her fans and the APA community for this lapse in judgment and takes the opportunity to better understand why the gesture is offensive.

No official statement has yet been released from the Hannah Montana star's camp. While Miley Cyrus has been the subject of controversies in the past, her semi-nude photo being the most recent, this latest jab at the teen idol is quite different for it accuses her of being involved in a racist act. But looking at the photo in question, I don't think there is an iota of racism involved in what she and her friends did. I am Asian and I'm not offended. What the picture shows is just a bunch of young individual goofing off with their friends. And I don't think pulling your eyes back to look like an Asian is racist. While I understand that the action of Miley and her friends in the photo is subject to numerous interpretation, I don't think anyone should make a big deal out of it. See the Miley Cyrus "racism photo" here.
